Jaideep Ahlawat says even though he does not watch himself on screen, he made an exception for his superhit series Paatal Lok, and also Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi.

Jaideep Ahlawat is widely loved for his on-screen performances. However, in a recent interview, the Jaane Jaan actor revealed that even though he does not watch himself on screen, he made an exception for his superhit series Paatal Lok, and also Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. Ahlawat mentioned that he agreed to watch Raazi after Alia Bhatt and Meghna Gulzar ‘threatened’ to block his contack number.

“It’s normal to be affected by work. With me, I started having nightmares during Raazi for the first time ever. I never used to have nightmares. But because I was so entrenched in the world of espionage at the time, because I had read up so much on the subject, I got scared. For the first time in my life, I would wake up with a start at night. I would see people running from guns and bombs.” Jaideep said in Hindi while speaking to his Jaane Jaan co-star Saurabh Sachdeva.

“I watched Raazi only after Meghna and Alia threatened to block my number. I went for the fourth screening,” he added.

Recalling another incident from the Raazi sets, Jaideep shared that on the final day of a shooting schedule in Patiala, they were running out of time when he also had to perform a close-up scene. He mentioned that while Meghna couldn’t watch it on the monitor, she told him that they would shoot three different takes and that it would be okay. However, the makers’ confidence added a lot of pressure on the actor.

Released in 2018, Raazi revolved around Sehmat Khan, played by Alia Bhatt, who is an undercover RAW agent and is married into a Pakistani family. The film was widely loved by all.

Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat was recently seen in the murder mystery Jaane Jaan along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
