bachchan pandey failed
Even Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, which released on March 18, could not stop the pace of The Kashmir Files. On the contrary, Bachchan Pandey got a tough competition from this film and the film has been able to do business of only 12 crores on the third day i.e. Sunday. Despite having a long weekend, Akshay’s Bachchan Pandey, equipped with star power, could not make any jump in earnings. The film has so far managed to do a total business of Rs 37.25 crore.

Film made after three years of research
The research and scripting of The Kashmir Files took director Vivek Agnihotri and writer Saurabh Pandey nearly three and a half years. The Kashmir Files is the first Bollywood film to cost 12 crores without a big star, maintaining a jump of 20% to 30% every day. Not only this, the film is maintaining an edge in its earnings in the weekend as well as in the weekdays. Which has not been seen before in the business of any star’s film. On the first day, the film got only 600 screens across the country. But seeing the response of the audience, its screen count has also increased to 4000.
