BJP leader Amit Malviya slams microblogging site Twitter for not deleting handles with alleged links to Pro-Khalistani groups or are being backed by Pakistan. Malviya tweeted, “Twitter can’t arrogate to itself the right to sit in judgement of what constitutes free speech. Constitution of India defines it and no entity can infringe on it. Under extant laws, a publisher and a platform are treated differently. Right to editorialise comes with obligations.” His tweet came after Twitter has stated that there are certain handles that pertain to activists and politicians, and journalists and which Twitter has decided that they will not be blocking.
