Amitabh Bachchan was also asked to fill out a mock marriage profile, displayed on screen, in the recent episode of KBC 16.
In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan got into a hilarious banter with one of the contestants when she asked him to create a marriage profile. It all started after a contestant named Pranati Paidipati shared her love story and revealed that she first met her husband online.
The contestant then asked Big B about his take on marriage profiles saying, “Agar aap apna profile banate aur kisi parivaar ko bhejte ki mujhe aapki ladki dein, toh aap uss profile mein kya likhte ki vo ek jhatke mein apni ladki aapko dedete? (If you were to create a profile and send it to a family saying you want their daughter, what would you write in that profile to make them give their daughter to you in one go?).”
Amitabh Bachchan reacted to it by saying, “Hum kaahe banenge profile. (Why should I make a profile?)” When the contestant insisted, the Bollywood superstar replied, “Devi ji, dekhiye humara byaah ho chuka hai. Gaadi jo hai station se nikal padi hai, usko pakadna bahut mushkil hai. (Devi ji, look, my marriage has already happened. The train has left the station, and catching it now is very difficult.)”
Big B was then asked to fill out a mock profile displayed on the screen. When asked to describe himself, Sr Bachchan playfully said, “Hum hum hai or kya. (I am who I am)” Not just this, when Amitabh was asked about expectations from a future bride, he added, “Ye bhi koi prashn hai kya? Patni honi chahiye bas. (Is this even a question? All that matters is that she should be a wife.)”
Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which superstar Shah Rukh Khan hosted. Season 16 of the show airs on Sony TV.
