Bhavana Pandey calls herself an ‘outsider’ on Fabulous Lives S3, prompting Karan Johar to warn her she’ll get trolled for it.
Bhavana Pandey, wife of actor Chunky Panday and mother of actress Ananya Panday, made a statement on the third season of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives that took everyone by surprise. During a conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar, she referred to herself as an “outsider” in the industry, sparking a playful warning from Karan.
Bhavana, who has gained popularity since her debut on the Netflix show, attended the opening of Gauri Khan’s newly revamped restaurant in the latest season. Other Bollywood wives like Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh and Neelam Kothari were also present at the event. During the celebration, Bhavana candidly asked Karan what he thought about them being “outsiders” in the film industry.
Karan, known for his quick wit, was taken aback by the comment. He immediately quipped, “Being Ananya Panday’s mother, Shanaya Kapoor’s mother, and also connected to Aryan and Suhana, if you all are calling yourselves outsiders, you will get trolled!”
Bhavana then explained that while she now feels like an insider, she initially started out as an outsider. She added that every insider was once an outsider before finding their footing in the industry. However, her friend Seema Sajdeh wasn’t convinced and teasingly replied, “Nice try.”
Season 3 of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, which dropped on Netflix on October 18, continues to follow the lives of Bollywood’s most glamorous wives. The season brings back the original star cast of Bhavana, Maheep, Seema, and Neelam, while introducing new faces like Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Kalyani Chawla and Shalini Passi. The show gives viewers a peek into their personal and professional lives, laced with drama, humour and heartfelt moments.
Bhavana Pandey has been a key player in the series since its inception in 2020. Married to Chunky Panday since 1998, the couple shares two daughters, Ananya and Rysa Panday. Ananya, who made her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year 2, has faced her share of internet trolls, especially after her remarks on her father’s career on Koffee With Karan.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives has become a fan-favourite, offering an entertaining glimpse into the glitzy, sometimes chaotic world of Bollywood royalty.
