Animal can earn ₹35-40 crore on the first day: No effect of clash with Sam Bahadur; Fear of loss due to length and adult certificate

Dainik Bhaskar has discussed in detail with many trade experts regarding the collection of Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal. The film is releasing tomorrow i.e. on 1st December.

Animal can collect Rs 35 to 40 crores on the first day. It is possible that this may become the highest collecting film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. This is not our opinion but the opinion of famous film critics and trade experts.

According to trade expert Komal Nahta, the craze of the film can be assessed by looking at its advance booking. Vicky Kaushal’s film Sam Bahadur, releasing on the same day, will not be anywhere close to the collections of Animal.

Komal Nahta exclusively told Dainik Bhaskar, ‘Sam Bahadur’s first day collection will be only one-tenth of Animal’s first day collection or maybe even less. However, due to the length of the animal and getting an adult certificate, it may suffer some harm.

According to the country’s famous film distributor Anil Thadani, Animal is being released on 4000 screens, it is expected that it will beat the first day collection of Ranbir’s film Brahmastra. Distributor and trade expert Akshay Rathi says that the numbers of this film can reach around Shahrukh-Salman’s films. Although it is certainly difficult, but not impossible.

There is positive response regarding the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region. According to famous trade analyst Ramesh Bala, who covers the South Industry, the film is being released on 1000 screens there (South Region).

The trailer of the film was released on 23 November.

Can the overall collection of Animal reach near Shahrukh Khan’s film Pathan or Jawan? In response to this question, famous trade expert and distributor Akshay Rathi said, ‘Of course, this film can break any record. Ranbir Kapoor is one of the biggest actors of this generation. I think this can become the most successful film of Ranbir’s career.

Two-three factors can harm the film – Komal Nahata
The country’s famous film trade analyst Komal Nahta said, ‘This clash will not make much difference to Animal, but Sam Bahadur may definitely have to face losses. Sam Bahadur should have released a little late.

The film is approximately three and a half hours long, can this make any difference to the performance of the film? In response, Nahta said, ‘The film is long, there are too many songs in it. The film has also received an adult certificate. These two-three factors can damage the film. However, I also believe that if the film is good then no force can stop it from becoming a hit. All these negative points will be converted into positive points.

Komal Nahta further said, ‘It is difficult to say right now that Animal will break the records of Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan’s films, although nothing is impossible. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has made only one Hindi film (Kabir Singh), everyone knows how big a hit it has been. This will definitely be in the mind of the audience.

Animal won’t mind A certificate and clash with Sam Bahadur
Akshay Rathi has a different opinion on whether the clash with Sam Bahadur and getting an A certificate will harm the film or not. He said, ‘Animal and Sam Bahadur both are films made on different topics. While Sam Bahadur is a real life based film, Animal Proper is a Bollywood old school drama film. The audiences of both are also different. I don’t think this will make any difference to the business of both the films.

Animal will open with a huge amount on the opening day itself, while Sam Bahadur will grow on the basis of word of mouth. Meaning if the film is good then people will definitely go to see it too. For example, look at Gadar-2 and OMG-2. Both the films were released on the same day. While Gadar-2 became a blockbuster, OMG-2 got a lot of benefit from word of mouth.

A certificate will not cause any harm to the animal. This film has not been made for children. This film is only for mature people. However, children do not need to be disappointed. They can watch an inspiring film in the form of Sam Bahadur.

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur is the biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Many important aspects of Sam Manekshaw’s life have been presented in the film. Mainly it shows the story of India-Pakistan war of 1971.

Animal can do good business in Telugu region also- Ramesh Bala
Famous South film trade analyst Ramesh Bala said, ‘Both the film’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actress Rashmika Mandanna are from South, hence the film can make good collections there. This film can perform well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region.

Ranbir Kapoor has also come to South and promoted the film. The film can make a worldwide collection of Rs 80-90 crore on the first day. The film is being released on 1000 screens in South. Whereas Jawan was released on 1500 screens (highest). The release of a Hindi film on such a high screen count in the South region is special in itself.

Cinema experts believe that Ranbir Kapoor’s never seen avatar will be seen in Animal.

According to Animal’s distributor Anil Thadani, the film is being released on 4000 screens. He said, ‘If we look at advance booking, this could be Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest opening film. It is worth noting that this is a non-holiday film. Rest of the business will definitely be divided a bit on the clash with Sam Bahadur.
