Animals from classic literature we wish were our pets | The Times of India


The sweet-natured pig from the popular children’s book Charlotte’s Web would have undoubtedly put many kids off bacon. Wilbur was kind, friendly and eager to live. In the book, his good nature helps many animals grow warmer and his friendship with the spider ensures she tries everything for him. Who wouldn’t want such a pure-hearted pet? Also, despite popular belief, pigs are clean and Wilbur was a good example of that.
