After Manu Bhaker, another Indian shooter Ramita Jindal has reached the final of Paris Olympics. Ramita will play the final match of the 10 meter air rifle event today i.e. Monday at 1 pm. Ramita secured the fifth position with 631.5 points in the qualification round held on Sunday.

20-year-old Ramita hails from Ladwa in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. Ramita made her mark by winning silver and bronze medals in the 2022 Asian Games. She is the first Indian woman rifle shooter to reach the Olympic final after her coach Suma Shirur (Athens 2004).

My interest grew when my father took me to the shooting range
Ramita Jindal was born on 16 January 2004 in the Jindal family in Ladwa. She is a student of Hansraj College, Delhi University. Ramita’s father Arvind Jindal is a tax advisor. Ramita started shooting at the age of 8.
Arvind Jindal took his daughter Ramita to Karan Shooting Range in Kurukshetra. From here Ramita’s interest in shooting increased. She started going to school in the morning and then going to Karan Shooting Range in the evening for practice.
Ramita Jindal got her first success when she finished in the top 10 in the 2018 National Championship. In 2020, Ramita started winning medals in national level competitions. After this she got recognition as an Indian shooter.
Finalized place in Olympics in 2023
Ramita Jindal won the gold medal in the World Championship held in Baku in the year 2023. After winning the medal here, her place in the Paris Olympics 2024 was confirmed.
Ramita Jindal performed brilliantly in the 2022 Asian Games and won 2 medals.
