Anupam Kher stayed in jail for one night: He was arrested by the police for crossing the railway line, will be seen with Ravi Teja in the upcoming film.

Anupam Kher has recently made a shocking revelation. He has told that when he was struggling in Mumbai, he had to spend a night in jail also.

Police arrested for crossing railway track line
In an interview given to E Times, Anupam Kher said- When I came to Mumbai, I had no work. In order to get work, I used to show my work to people in the industry through video cassettes. On the basis of this, I used to request him for work.

Very few people know that Anupam used to sleep at the railway station in Mumbai during his struggling days.

There is an incident from this time. One day I had to go to Bandra station. There I had to return a video cassette to a person. In a hurry to reach on time, I crossed the local railway line. Then my eyes fell on a gentleman, who gave me his hand and helped me climb the platform. Although he held my hand very tightly.

Actually, that person was none other than a policeman in plain clothes. He used to stand on the railway track every day in plain clothes and arrest anyone who crossed the line wrongly. They arrested me too and took me straight to the police station. When I reached there, I saw that 50 people were already present in the station, whose hands were tied with rope. They kept me in lock up the whole night and released me the next day. This is true, but it does not exist anywhere on record.

The Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2006.

Anupam Kher said all these things at the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Tiger Nageswara Rao. He has also told that the story line of this film is based on real rumored stories. The special thing is that these stories are not documented anywhere else. This film has been directed by South director Vamsi.
