Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has job openings for the post of Laboratory Technicians. Candidates who are interested and qualified can apply online by visiting its official website: osssc.gov.in. A total of 921 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Age:

Candidates applying for this job should be between 21 and 38 years old. Those who are from reserved groups are eligible for an age relaxation by government regulations.

1. SC/ST/SEBC/Women: 5 years

2. PH: 10 years.

3. ESM: No of service years rendered in defence services

Eligibility:

The candidate must have passed their class 12 science examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. The candidate should have an equivalent degree and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals of the State. Apart from this, candidates with a BMLT or Master in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) are also eligible to apply for this post.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected through a written examination. This will be conducted in November. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours. In this exam, 100 questions will have to be answered. A merit list of the candidates, who pass this examination, will be prepared. The list will be prepared by including the total marks obtained in the written examination and the marks awarded to short-term Covid-19 healthcare workers, if any, as per the rules.

1. The minimum qualifying mark for SC/ST/PwD/ESM/Sports candidates is 30%, whereas for others it is 35 per cent.

2. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 per cent.

3. The pattern of the examination will be MCQ-type in the OMR system.
