The GRP team nabbed three accused from Ludhiana on the morning of 12 September.
Jhansi. The weapons found in the general coach of Telangana Express have come out of the security guard. In this case, the GRP police arrested three youths living in Rajouri, Jammu. He had a gun without a license. These people were running away from their jobs due to the fear of security guards being caught in Kerala. The three arrested youths were produced in the court. From there he was sent to jail. Giving information, Superintendent of Police (Railways) Mohammad Imran has said that on September 10, 2021, two bags were recovered by the RPF team from the general coach of train number 02723 Telangana Express and handed over to the GRP. Five SBBL guns and 23 cartridges were found in these bags. On this basis, a case was registered in GRP police station against two nominees etc. Taking this incident seriously, a team was constituted under the direction of ADG Railway, Inspector General of Police, Railway Prayagraj/Lucknow, DIG Railway. Apart from this, the railway passengers sitting in the general coach were questioned in the matter of the said bags, but no one had answered. It was reported that three youths were sitting in the said coach. These young men had these bags. On this basis, the team was sent to nab the said youths. When the team found the location of the said youths at Ludhiana railway station, the team went and caught those three youths. The three youths were brought to Jhansi after being produced in a Ludhiana court. Used to work as a guard in a security company in Hyderabad.
According to SP Railway, during interrogation, the accused told that he works as an armed guard in a security company in Hyderabad. All of them have got their arms licenses made from district Rajouri Jammu and Kashmir through various persons. Recently, it came to his notice that he has been arrested by the Kerala State Police after the arms licenses of some security guards were found to be fake. These people feared that our arms licenses are also correct or not and they were not even registered online. They all took leave from their company in Hyderabad in the same doubt and had planned to go back to Rajouri with their license and weapons. Two of his other companions also asked them to bring their weapons with them, who had gone to Rajouri earlier, the validity of the arms license of one of them expired in May 2021 and the validity of the other’s license is being informed.
Taking this incident seriously, a team was constituted under the direction of ADG Railway, Inspector General of Police, Railway Prayagraj/Lucknow, DIG Railway.
One accused Majid is facing trial in Rajouri
The process of verification of arms license is being done through the district administration Rajouri. According to the information till now, a case is registered against one named accused Majid under 341,452,382 IPC in 2005. Information about their criminal history is being done through the police administration Rajouri.
Mohammad Rafi, Sanjay Kumar and Sanjay’s brother-in-law Yashpal Sharma, residents of Dharamshal village Barhavi, police station of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested. Arms licenses of Yashpal Sharma and Sanjay Kumar have also been recovered.
