AAP party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
- There will be a mahapanchayat at a resort on Rohata bypass
- The mahapanchayat is being seen from the beginning of campaigning for assembly elections
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address the Kisan Mahapanchayat in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh today. This mahapanchayat has been organized on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Sanskriti Resort on Rohata bypass. It has been linked to the AAP’s campaign for the 2022 assembly elections in UP. For this mahapanchayat about the withdrawal of agricultural laws, the workers had been going from village to village and approached the farmers for the past several days.
The administration gave permission for the mobilization of three thousand farmers
Arvind Kejriwal has already announced to contest assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. His party is also tight for the panchayat elections. The administration has allowed three thousand people to join this mahapanchayat. However, state president Sabhajit Singh claims that a large number of farmers will be involved in the mahapanchayat. People associated with some political parties and social organizations will also be affected by the policies of the party.
Mahapanchayat political dominates in Western UP
Farmers’ anger against the BJP against agricultural laws has given an opportunity to surround the Modi-Yogi government in opposition parties. This is the reason why the Congress and the Rashtriya Lok Dal are repeatedly holding a mahapanchayat in western UP. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has so far held mahapanchayats in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and Mathura. Today, the spokesman of the Indian Farmers Union in Saharanpur, Rakesh Tikait will also address a mahapanchayat.
