India won the second Test by defeating England by 317 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, who played a key role in the victory, made a statement in Tamil after the match. He said that whenever I bowled during the match, the audience motivated and made me feel like a hero. Ashwin dedicated this win to the Chennai audience.

Watching Test cricket in Chepak for 8-9 years
Ashwin said, ‘I have seen cricket from these stands in Chepak since I was 8 or 9 years old. My father used to bring me here to show me the test. It was a dream for me to get a chance to play on this ground. I have played 4 Test matches so far here and this is the most special among them. With no cricket at the time of Kovid-19, it was known that a large number of spectators would come to watch this test.

Will try to win the test in Ahmedabad too
Ashwin said that we were 0-1 behind in the series without an audience, but after the audience came, we came at 1-1. There will also be an audience in Ahmedabad and hopefully it will be able to sustain this performance even further. Ashwin took a total of 8 wickets including 5 wickets in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings. Apart from this, he also scored a fifth century of Test career in the first innings.
