In Saharanpur, the anti-corruption team has arrested the assistant consolidation officer while taking a bribe of 10 thousand from a farmer. The farmer had to get his agricultural land measured. In return, the consolidation officer demanded a bribe of 10 thousand rupees. A case has been registered in Nakur police station.

Noor Mohammad, a resident of Kundakala village of Thana Gangoh area, had to get his land measured. The land is in the name of the farmer’s father. It is alleged that Assistant Consolidation Officer Devendra Sharma posted in the Consolidation Department was demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 in the name of measuring the land. He was constantly requesting him to measure the land. But the Assistant Consolidation Officer was not agreeing.

Complained to anti corruption
Anti-corruption in-charge Subhash Singh said that farmer Noor Mohammad had lodged a complaint at the anti-corruption police station on July 11. The farmer was making rounds of the department for measuring his land. Frustrated, the farmer complained to the anti-corruption. The anti-corruption team made the farmer talk to the assistant consolidation officer and talked to him about giving the money. He called him to the office. The anti-corruption team applied powder on 10 thousand rupee notes and gave them to him.

Assistant Consolidation Officer caught red handed
When the farmer reached the Consolidation Department with 10 thousand rupees, he gave 10 thousand rupees to the Assistant Consolidation Officer Devendra Sharma. At the same time, the Anti Corruption team also reached the spot and caught the Assistant Consolidation Officer. The accused Devendra Sharma’s hands were dipped in chemical. Due to which the color of the hands changed due to the powder on the notes. The Anti Corruption team has registered a case in the police station.
