ATK Mohun Bagan beat Bengaluru FC 4-3 in the penalty shootout in the ISL Indian Final. ATK Mohun Bagan won the trophy for the first time. The ISL final was played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Saturday night. After the match Mohun Bagan owner Sanjiv Goenka also announced that the club would henceforth be known as Mohun Bagan Super Giants.

The score of both the teams remained 2-2 till full time. Both goals for Mohun Bagan were scored by Australian football player Dimitri Petratos. Both goals came from penalties. At the same time, the first goal from Bengaluru was scored by Sunil Chhetri in the 45th + 5th minute and the second goal was scored by Roy Krishna in the 78th minute.
Bengaluru FC suffered a major setback in the opening minute itself. Bangalore’s player Shivshakti got injured in the fourth minute itself. After this Sunil Chhetri came in his place.
Mohun Bagan got 6 crores
ATK Mohun Bagan got prize money of Rs 6 crore for winning the ISL. Whereas, the runner-up team Bengaluru FC got 2.5 crores.

Kolkata team won a corner in the 13th minute and Bengaluru goalkeeper Sandhu tossed the ball into the air. Bangalore’s Krishna had his hands in the air, and was hit by the ball. The referee then awarded a penalty and Petratos didn’t miss a chance to score.
The second goal came in the 85th minute. Bangalore player Perez fouled inside the penalty box. After this, Petratos took the penalty again and equalized the score.
