The Kangaroo team has won the fifth match of the Ashes series being played between Australia and England by 146 runs. The Pink Ball Test was being played between the two teams in Hobart, where ENG had to score 271 runs to win the match. England had a full two-and-a-half days to achieve the target and the team was also considered as the winning favourite, but on the third day, the team piled on the score of 124.
Australia won the Ashes series 4-0 after winning the Hobart Test. Travis Head, who scored a century in the first innings, received the ‘Man of the Match’ and ‘Player of the Series’ award.
England disappointed again
Chasing the target, England started well. Rory Burns and Jack Crowley added 68 runs for the first wicket. This partnership was broken by Cameron Green by dismissing Burns (26). Cummins took most wickets
Just before the start of the Ashes, world No. 1 Test bowler Pat Cummins was made the captain of Australia and he showed a great game as captain and as a bowler in this series. Cummins took 21 wickets in four matches. This series was really memorable for him. Apart from Cummins, Mitchell Starc (19) and Scott Boland (18) took wickets. Nathan Lyon also got 16 wickets in his account. Mark Wood took the highest number of 17 wickets for ENG.
