Australia defeated Oman by 39 runs in the 10th match of the T20 World Cup 2024. Oman won the toss and elected to bowl first at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Thursday. Australia batted first and scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In reply, Australia could score 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Marcus Stoinis performed a double feat for Australia. First Stoinis played a brilliant innings of 67 runs at a strike rate of 186.11 while batting and then took 3 wickets while bowling. He was selected as the Player of the Match.

1. Fighter of the Match: Oman batsman Mehran Khan performed brilliantly for the team but could not make his team win. He took two wickets while bowling first. He made Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell his victims. After this, he played an innings of 27 runs in 16 balls. He hit 2 sixes during this.

102 run partnership between Stoinis and Warner
Australia suffered the first blow at the score of 19 runs. Travis Head was dismissed by Bilal Khan. He could score only 12 runs. Oman, chasing the target, could only score 125 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Ayan Khan played the biggest innings for Oman, scoring 36 runs in 30 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Stoinis took the maximum of 3 wickets for Australia. Mitchell Starc, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa took 2-2 wickets each.
