The accident took place on Sunday at Pilkhuwa Kotwali in Hapur. An elderly man died after being hit by an auto near Dahpa Pulia under the elevated road. The auto overturned after the collision. Due to this, four passengers aboard were injured. Police has sent the body for postmortem and the matter is being investigated.
According to information, an auto was bringing passengers from Hapur. The auto became unbalanced near Dahpa Pulia and hit the old man walking on foot. The old man was taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared the old man dead. The deceased has been identified as Brahmapal Singh (60 years), a resident of village Raghunathpur.

The SHO said that after informing the relatives about the accident, the body has been sent for postmortem. Four passengers were slightly injured when the auto overturned. After treatment, they have gone to their respective homes. Action will be taken after registering a case on receipt of Tahrir.
