This is the first Rama Navami after the construction of the Ram temple started. A few days ago, from the government to the saints, they were preparing to celebrate Ram Navami in a grand manner on 21 April, but Corona’s uncontrollable infection has turned this enthusiasm away. A total of 200 infected have been found in Ayodhya in the last 24 hours. Now the total number of patients has reached 1311 here.

The administration has made it clear that Ram Navami will be limited to worship in the temple without devotees. Last year, even in 2020, due to the lockdown, Ram Navami’s programs could not be held. This will be the second consecutive year when the Ram Navami fair will not be held in Ayodhya.

Satyendra Das, a priest of the Ram temple, says, “A very limited number of people are reaching to visit Ramlala and they are being given admission in batches of 5-5 only. Social distancing and masking are mandatory. In such a situation, it is obvious that the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated only formally.

Corona cases in Ayodhya are increasing steadily. Strict preparation is now being done regarding this.

Mahant Raj Kumar Das also says on the question of Ram Navami’s programs, “First there is life, then there is the world.” Who will come to worship the temple when the devotees are no longer there? In such a situation, people should celebrate the festival of Ram Navami in their homes strictly following the guidelines of the administration. Mahant Maithili Sharan has appealed that Ayodhya is where the worship of Lord Rama will be.

Ayodhya SSP Shailesh Pandey said that only those people will be allowed to enter the temple on the occasion of Ramnavami who will bring negative reports of Kovid-19. According to administrative officials, the first checking campaign will be carried out before Ram Navami and the borders of Ayodhya will be sealed.

With the 2022 assembly elections nearing, efforts were made to start work on some schemes rapidly. The schemes that are underway include Ayodhya Bus Station, Korean Queen’s Park, Highway NH 27 lanes, construction of Ring Road around Ayodhya, 84 Kosi Parikrama route giving it the status of Highway. Some of them are being completed, work has started on some of them. Some have not landed on the ground. Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced the construction of about half a dozen highways in Ayodhya during the last Lok Sabha election here. Work on them has not even started yet.
