The National Tuberculosis Eradication Program is being run in Mau on the instructions of the government. Under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program, all AYUSH, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani doctors in the private sector will also have to register the information of TB patients on the NISHCHA portal. Chief Medical Officer Officer Dr Shyam Narayan Dubey said that failing to do so, action will be ensured against the concerned.

CMO Dr. SN Dubey informed that the Director General of Medical Health Dr. Devvrat Singh has issued necessary instructions to the concerned officer in this regard. The Prime Minister has set a target of 2025 to eradicate tuberculosis from the country. There are total 1858 TB registered patients in the district so far. A total of 3046 registered TB patients have become completely healthy. 3069 patients of the district are getting the benefit of Rs 500 under the Nishchay Poshan Yojana.

Information of TB patients to be given on Nishchay Portal
District Tuberculosis Officer and Program Nodal Officer Dr. SP Agrawal informed that the information of TB patients has to be given by private doctors on the Nishchay portal. Potential TB patients are to be referred by AYUSH doctors to the nearest health center for information and testing. On confirmation of tuberculosis in patients, an amount of Rs 500 per patient will be sent directly to the AYUSH doctor in the private sector in their registered account. Under the National Eradication Program all facilities are provided free of cost to tuberculosis patients. Therefore, send the potential patient to the nearest health center from the private sector AYUSH doctor.

Receive information from the treatment supervisor
Dr Aggarwal said that if tuberculosis is confirmed in any person, the patient’s family members, near and dear ones will be screened for TB infection. TB preventive treatment will be provided free of cost upon confirmation of infection. Information can also be obtained by contacting the Senior Treatment Supervisor at the nearest TB Unit.

Ayush doctor should give information to tuberculosis patients
Dr. SP Agrawal called upon all the private AYUSH doctors to give information about maximum tuberculosis patients and also contribute their active contribution in this campaign of eradication of tuberculosis. Under the Nishchay Poshan Yojana, Rs 500 per month is sent directly to the registered bank account of TB patients during treatment.
