ACS Avneesh Awasthi, who arrived at Phulwaria in Azamgarh district to review the Purvanchal Expressway, directed the officials to complete the work by October 20.
ACS Avnish Awasthi, who reached Azamgarh to review CM Yogi Adityanath’s dream project Purvanchal Express, reviewed the expressway with the officials. On site review with the officials of the progress of the bridge construction being done near the flyover at Phulwaria, 40 km from the district headquarters. While talking to the officials engaged in the construction work, ACS Avnish Awasthi directed to complete it by October 20 and said that CM Yogi Adityanath will review the Purvanchal Express on 20th October. In response, the officials assured to complete this work before 20.

Earlier the review was done on 4th September.
Earlier on 4th September, Additional Chief Secretary Avnish Awasthi had reviewed the work of Purvanchal Expressway after reaching Azamgarh. It was also said that 97 percent of the work has been completed. Whatever is left will also be completed soon. While reviewing the expressway, ACS Avnish Awasthi took a trial at a speed of 170 kms. Along with this, it was also told that the speed fixed on this expressway will be 120 km.
Industrial park will be built along the expressway
Six industrial parks will be built on both sides of Purvanchal Expressway. Along with this, 4 industrial parks will be built on both sides of Bundelkhand Expressway. A meeting has been held with state government minister Satish Mahana regarding this.
PM had laid the foundation stone
In the year 2018, the foundation stone of Purvanchal Expressway was laid by the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, for the purpose of development and smooth travel of Purvanchal. This expressway work was to be completed in 2019. CM Yogi had assured to run it in 2019 and said that the UP government would give the gift of Purvanchal Expressway to the people of the state on Diwali. But the spread of Kovid across the country also affected this expressway and this is the reason why the work got delayed. But the way continuous review is being done, it seems that the people of Purvanchal can get the gift of this expressway till Deepawali.
