Back on track: Demand for train travel picks up | News – Times of India Videos

With all indicators suggesting an upturn in economic activity post the Covid-19 shutdown, rail travel too seems to be back on track. Out of the 736 special trains currently in operation, 327 have passengers in the waiting list, the Railways said on 2nd November. According to data provided by the Railways, the average occupancy of these special trains is around 92 per cent. The Railways says it is preparing to run clone trains on routes that are seeing waitlists on sustained basis.
