Condition of first five major roads
This road is in front of the Chief Secretary’s residence. It was made 4 months ago. Then it got damaged, patch work had to be done.

The residences of SP chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav, state headquarters of Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Yadav, Minister of State Danish Ansari, BBD Group owner Viraj Das, Awadh Girls College and Chief Secretary Manoj Singh are on this road.
This is also the route to the house of the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department. The road was built four months ago, but caved in within just a few months. The situation is such that to avoid infamy, patch work had to be done on this road within 4 months. About 20 meter long and 3 meter wide patch work has been done right in front of the Chief Secretary’s house.
The condition of the road leading from Hyatt Hotel to Summit Building is very bad. It is included in VVIP Road.
Hyatt Hotel to Summit Building: 700 meters road full of potholes The road leading from Hyatt Hotel to Summit Building is just 700 meters long. But this road is one of the most VIP routes of the city. The road has deteriorated from both sides. The situation is such that at many places it is difficult to tell whether there is a pothole in the road or a road in the pothole.
Councilor Shailendra Verma in Municipal Corporation House also raised questions regarding this road. Then the Mayor told that there has been talk of getting it built under the CM Road Scheme. The big thing is that the headquarters of the State Information Commission is located right near the road where it is the worst.
All State Information Commissioners sit here. His post and salary is close to that of the Chief Secretary. Even after that the road here has not been built. Recently, silt from the drain was brought and dumped at the place where the debris was dumped. Secondly, people leaving the Summit Building often fall off their bikes and scooters on this bad road after drinking.
This road is also said to be built every year but that road has also become bad. The cost of building this road is approximately Rs 15 to 20 lakh. Dheeraj Srivastava, who lives in the area, says that the construction of the road will benefit the common people as well as employment.
There are big potholes at many places on the road leading from Gomti Nagar towards Malhaur station.
Malhaur Station: Road broken up to 50 meters More than 2 lakh people pass through the road leading from Gomti Nagar to Malhaur station every day. The road is made of RCC at many places. Despite that it is broken. Tooti is also such that a major accident can happen at any time.
Om Prakash, who was passing through here, said that the road is broken for more than 50 meters. The situation is such that if those riding fast bikes and scooters do not slow down their vehicles at that place, then it is certain that they will get injured. He told that the situation here was worse in the past days.
Here some people had even placed a branch of a tree to identify the pit. Complaints were lodged regarding this several times. Even after that, there is no permanent solution to the problem. This road will be completely repaired with a budget of more than Rs 30 lakh.
The road leading from Crown Mall to Ganeshpur was built 8 months ago. Now after the rain the concrete has started crumbling. Big potholes have been formed at many places.
Crown Mall to Ganeshpur: Broken in 8 months The road leading to Ganeshpar right next to Crown Mall was built about 8 months ago. It is being told that a budget of around Rs 8 lakh was also released for this, but within just 8 months the road got damaged. Whereas right in front of it is BBD University and nearby is Crown Mall.
More than 50 thousand people come and go from here every day. People living in this area said that complaints have been lodged regarding this several times. Even a complaint has been lodged on the IGRS portal. However, even after that the road has not been repaired.
Kamta Road was built only a year ago. If there were potholes, debris was added.
Kamta Road: bad due to leakage of sewer line Kamta Road was also built about a year ago. Now it has started breaking. Krishna Kumar Verma, a local resident living here, says that the sewer line is passing below. There is leakage in it. Because of this the road has started breaking down prematurely. Told that it also gets filled with water during rain. Here the work of government departments has been done in a haphazard manner.
He told that the people of the area have also lodged a complaint regarding this. Despite this the problem is not being solved. Former councilor RP Singh said that departmental officers do not do any work. This road belongs to the Municipal Corporation. More than Rs 10 lakh was spent on repairing this road. Despite this the problem is not being solved.
Chief Engineer of Gar Nigam Mahesh Verma said-
About 300 kilometers of road has been identified in the Municipal Corporation. They are being tendered. Work has also started on some roads. The road which has been damaged before one year will be investigated. If the contractor commits a mistake, a notice will also be issued regarding the same.
XEN Satendra Nath of Public Works Department said-
Work is being done to repair the roads. Most of the roads have been tendered. It is difficult to tell anything about old roads. Joined just two months ago. However, if there is any irregularity anywhere, action will be taken against the person concerned.

Dheeraj Srivastava said that the road leading from Vibhuti Khand Hyatt Hotel to Summit Building is the most VIP road here. It is quite broken. If it is made then everyone will get a lot of relief.
Krishna Kumar Verma said- Kamta road was built a year ago. It was well built but due to sewer overflow this road got spoiled prematurely. Local people have complained many times.
Om Prakash said- Complaints were lodged several times to repair the roads in Malhaur and surrounding areas. But the work was not done. Nothing happened last year also.
Arvind Singh said – Be it streets or main roads in Malhaur, the condition of all the roads is the same. Very often the main path is slightly corrected when spoken.
Former councilor Rudra Pratap Singh said that complaints were made several times on the CM portal regarding the road leading from Crown Mall to Ganeshpur. The road built 8 months ago is completely broken.
CM Yogi has given time till October 10 to get the roads repaired…
- More than 700 small and big roads will be made pothole free.
- Lucknow Municipal Corporation, LDA, Public Works Department and at some places Mandi Parishad will do the work of constructing roads.
- All work has to be completed by October 10.
