Mushfiqur Rahim scored the eighth century of his Test career in the Test match being played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Chittagong. With this, Mushfiqur Rahim also became the first batsman for Bangladesh to complete 5000 runs in Test cricket.

Bangladesh declared their first innings at 465/9 with a lead of 68 runs thanks to Mushfiqur’s 105-run knock. Sri Lanka scored 397 runs in the first innings.
