In Bareilly, a 16-year-old girl was held hostage and gangraped. When she resisted, the accused were taking her to another place. The girl raised an alarm. When people rescued her, a fight broke out.

Police registered a case against three named and one unknown person. The girl told the police that I was brought from Bihar and sold in Bareilly. I was held hostage at a place and attempts were made to do bad things to me. When I resisted, I was beaten up.
When I protested, I was beaten up and taken to another place. VHP workers are also standing nearby. In which the girl is talking about being sold. Two VHP workers have also been injured while trying to save the girl.
In this entire case, the police has not registered a case on behalf of the girl, but a VHP worker has registered a case in Nawabganj police station. The police station says that the girl is a minor. Further action is being taken after getting her medical and statement done. Later, the girl was also counseled by Child Line.
