The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has called a Special General Meeting (SGM) regarding the upcoming ODI World Cup to be held in October-November. The meeting will be held in Ahmedabad on May 27 before the Indian Premier League (IPL) final. There is a possibility that after the meeting, there may be a special announcement regarding the World Cup.

Full schedule of World Cup can be released
One of the SGM agenda, as per reports, is the formation of a working group for the ICC World Cup 2023. It is discussed that after the meeting, the full schedule of the World Cup tournament to be held in October-November can be released. Along with this, the members of the organizing committee can also be announced.
Officially the dates and venues of the World Cup have not been announced yet, but there are speculations that the tournament will take place from 5 October to 19 November. It will be played in 12 cities of the country. Ahmedabad will host the final. But, it is still not clear whether the schedule will even be announced or not.
Women’s Premier League and sexual harassment policy
As per reports, BCCI will announce the formation of a committee for the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The first season of WPL was organized by the Governing Council of IPL in March this year. Now BCCI can form a separate body for women’s league.
In this meeting on May 27, guidelines can be given for the appointment of physiotherapists and coaches in the state teams. Issues like confirmation of sexual harassment policy can be discussed in this meeting.
Team India players will leave in 3 batches for WTC final
Team India members will leave for England in three batches for the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The first batch will take off on May 23, soon after the league stage of IPL gets over. The second batch will go after the first two play-off matches on May 23 and 24.
The last batch will leave on May 30 after the finals on May 28. Apart from this, BCCI is planning to organize a practice match for the team in England. The WTC final against Australia will be played at The Oval from June 7 to 12.
