Actor Hiten Tejwani is in the news these days for his music video ‘Mera Pyara Hindustan’. This song of his will be released on the occasion of Army Day on 15 January. In this, he will be seen in the look of a soldier. In a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Hiten shared things related to this song and career:

What is the basic concept of this song? What message are you sending through this?
We have shown the story of a soldier’s personal life in this. We have tried how he balances everything in the life of a soldier between love, family and service to the country. The lyrics of this song of ours are very cute. Its shooting has also gone very well. This song will go on people’s tongue as soon as they hear it. If I say what the message is, I will only say that for a soldier, how much his country is important, we have tried to show this in this song.

How was the experience of working with Hina Varde?
I was working with Hina for the first time. She is very good actress. We had a very good chemistry during the shooting of this song. Hope people like our chemistry too. She is not a new actress, she has worked in many other projects as well.

Apart from this, tell us something about the film ‘Ardh’?
Ardh is a slice of life film. In this I have veteran actors like Rubina Dilaik, Rajpal Yadav and Kulbhushan Kharbanda with me. Its story is based on the life of Mumbai. In this, something similar will be shown, which we often ignore in our normal life. Ardh is the story of an actor’s struggle in a city like Mumbai. It is a concept oriented film. I won’t reveal about my role but Palash Muchhal is a young filmmaker and his energy is amazing. We as actors have always wanted to play different characters, but working with a young filmmaker like him is a lot of fun.

What is the main reason you believe to get less solo lead role?
I don’t think that I should do only lead role. I have always wanted to do such roles in which I get a satisfaction. Get to do something new. It is every actor’s dream to play a definitively lead role. He wanted him to get big solo lead roles. But in TV or even in films it often happens that every actor who has ever been a hit from a show or a film always gets the same role or big films. After a while it gets rancid. I never tied myself that if I do not get a solo lead role then I will not do any project. I have kept myself open to every platform. Wherever I get a good job, I do it. Currently, I have shot for two web series. However, he is not allowed to speak on them.

Will your first Mittal type avatar like ‘Kutumb’ ever be seen again?
Of course, if I ever find something like this, I will definitely do it. I consider it necessary that even if I get three scenes in a film or project. At that point I have to give up my impact. I believe being in films is a different game. Earlier people used to think that once he got into TV, he would never get work in films. But today it is not so. Mine is such that if I am committed to a TV show with someone, then even if any project comes in between, then I do not choose it. However, many actors leave the show midway and go for big offers.

Do you consider your future more secure on the web platform?
I am in the leading role in the characters that are coming before me. Recently I have played important roles in projects like Noble Peace, Gupta Brothers and Ankahin. I consider myself secure on every platform and want to tell people that I can do this, I can do that too. You can put me wherever you want.
