The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation set up a 24×7 call centre in March 2021 to manage Covid-19 situation. The 1929 call centre has reached the milestone of handling 3 lakh calls on July 21. 48 executives along with doctors work in three shifts to manage incoming and outgoing calls. The call centre has helped people in handling home isolation cases and hospital admissions. Nowadays it also gives information on vaccination.
