Action on engineers, junior engineers
Show cause notice issued to 8 Executive Engineers, 04 Sub-Divisional Officers, 04 Assistant Engineers (M) and 04 Junior Engineers. Also expressed displeasure over non-availability of power supply due to repeated failure of 100 KVA transformer in Green South Side GT Road of Ghaziabad. For this, charge sheet was sent to Sunit Chauhan, Sub-Divisional Officer South Side, GT Road and Engineer Rajeev Kumar Junior Engineer.

The Managing Director took seriously the issue of non-availability of electricity supply in the meeting. He took action expressing his displeasure over the problems in power supply due to transformer failure due to negligence in the maintenance of the transformer. MD ordered to issue show cause notice to 20 people.

MD gave instructions for electricity supply
- Strict action will be taken against negligent officers.
- Immediate action will be taken on complaints of not attending calls.
- Shutdown without plan will not be taken in heatwave, orange alert. Even if there is an emergency shutdown, it will be rectified soon.
- Officials will continuously talk to customers
- All officers will continuously tour the area
- The problems of power supply should be eliminated immediately by making control rooms in every district.
- Consumers should also register their complaints on electricity helpline number 1912 and corporation’s toll free number 18001803002.
- Maintenance of power transformers and other electrical equipment installed at sub-institutions and sub-centres should be done as per the prescribed time.
- Officers and employees will constantly check the load of the transformer so that there is no problem due to overloading.
