Bihar Woman, Daughter Of Home Tutor, Gets 66th Rank In BPSC Exam – News18


Zeba Arshi cracked the exam on her third attempt.

She hails from a middle-class family and has made her parents proud with her results.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) declared the result of the 67th final exam 2023 on October 28. It has released a merit list of the candidates selected for the BPSC recruitment after qualifying in the preliminary, mains and interview rounds. Of the 2,104 candidates who appeared for the exam, 2,075 candidates were selected for the interview round. It was held from October 9 to October 20. Among many, one of the candidates grabbing headlines is Zeba Arshi. She secured 66th rank in Bihar. She hails from a middle-class family and has made her parents proud with her results.

Zeba Arshi cracked the exam on her third attempt. Her father, Mohammed Quddus is a home tutor, while her mother is a teacher at Talimi Markaz at Piro in the Bhagalpur locality of Bhojpur district. Zeba Arshi has a brother and a sister. Zeba completed her primary education at Pushpa High School in Piro and her secondary education at Gandhi College, Laharabad.

After completing her studies, Zeba Arshi decided to appear for the BPSC exam. Hence she started her preparation. It is reported that Zeba Arshi cleared the 66th BPSC exam. An issue regarding her graduation degree became an obstacle in her final selection. Zeba Arshi took this lost chance as another opportunity for the upcoming BPSC exam. She again started her preparation; and this time, she reached her end goal.

While talking to a media portal, Zeba Arshi credited her success to her parents and god. She also said that a lot of her peers and teachers supported her during this difficult journey. Zeba kept Hindi language and literature as her subject for the exam. She has to regularly go to Patna to collect the study materials for BPSC since it is not available in her area. Now, due to the advent of online bookstores, she can read and study at home. Zeba said that she started doing self-study in the year 2018. She prepared for the Physical Test (PT) at Haj House in Patna. She also desires to attempt the UPSC exam and become an IAS officer.
