Earlier this record was in the name of Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto. Shanto scored a century in Youth ODI cricket against Sri Lanka Under-19 in Sylhet at the age of 14 years and 241 days. At the same time, Pakistan’s Babar Azam had scored a century in Dambulla in 15 years and 48 days.
Vaibhav has become the youngest batsman to score a century in professional cricket. He is the first player from Bihar to play in the Indian team and is part of the four-day Under-19 series against Australia.
Vaibhav is the player who debuted in Bihar Ranji Trophy at the age of 12 years and 284 days. He was the second youngest player to debut in Ranji.

Vaibhav was born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Samastipur. He is a left handed batsman. Has scored 49 centuries in different matches within a year. He used to play cricket at home for 2 years. At the age of 7, his father took him to the cricket academy of Samastipur.
Vaibhav played there for 3 years. Then his father brought him to Gen X Cricket Academy located in Sampatchak, Patna. At the age of 10, Vaibhav played big matches and also started scoring runs in senior matches.
Scored 49 centuries and 3 double centuries in one year
Vaibhav has scored 49 centuries and 3 double centuries in the last one year. The highest score of 670 runs was scored in the league and super league of Heman Trophy last year. In which there were three centuries and three half-centuries. Looking at his performance, Vaibhav has got another chance.
Vaibhav was selected in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Tournament in October 2023. Bihar scored the most runs in the tournament held in Chandigarh. He scored 393 runs, which included one century and three half-centuries.

Vaibhav’s coach Brajesh Jha said that Samastipur’s Patel Maidan has been successful in giving a player to India for the second consecutive time.
