Legislative Council member Devendra Singh became an accident on the Lucknow-Ayodhya bypass on Thursday evening. MLC Devendra Singh was going to Gorakhpur from Lucknow. On the way, he stopped to drink tea at Rudauli in Ayodhya district. Unknown vehicle struck while crossing the road. He was admitted to a private hospital, from where he has been referred to Lucknow.

Ayodhya DIG Deepak Kumar has confirmed the accident. He said that MLC Devendra Pratap Singh of Gorakhpur-Faizabad Graduate Constituency, who is from Gorakhpur, was going to Gorakhpur from Lucknow on Thursday. An unknown vehicle collided while crossing the road after drinking tea near Rudauli.
Police reached the local hospital after receiving information. Where after primary treatment he has been referred to Lucknow. MLC Devendra Pratap Singh has had injuries to his arms and legs. The DIG said that the incident occurred in the rescue of a bike rider.
