Actor John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria’s film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ failed the first Monday test at the box office. This film has been able to do business of only 3 crores on the first Monday i.e. on the fourth day. The business of the film has seen a decline of 50% on the fourth day as compared to the first day.
The film earned Rs 26.56 crore in 4 days
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a post on social media and said that the film, made in a budget of 80 crores, has done a business of 3.02 crores on the fourth day (Monday). Earlier, the film had earned Rs 9.02 crore on the third day (Sunday), 7.47 crore on the second day (Saturday) and Rs 7.05 crore on the first day (Friday). Accordingly, the film has made a box office collection of Rs 26.56 crore from India in 4 days so far.
In terms of earning on the first Monday, Shamshera has been overtaken
The film was released on 29 July in 3,000 screens in India. Trade analysts feel that Ek Villain Returns may also prove to be a flop like the recently released Bollywood films like Shamshera, Samrat Prithviraj. However, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ has left behind Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera (2.80 crores) in terms of earnings on the first Monday.
‘Ek Villain 2’ has become the 8th highest grossing Hindi film on the first weekend in the year 2022. Let us tell you that ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is made in a double budget from the first part ‘Ek Villain’ (Rs 40 crore). However, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ has lagged behind ‘Ek Villain’ released in 2014 in terms of earning on the first day in the first weekend.
The film will be considered a hit after earning 90 crores
It is being told that if ‘Ek Villain Returns’ does an all-time business of more than 90 crores, then this film will be considered a hit. Mohit Suri has directed this film. ‘Ek Villain’ was also directed by Mohit Suri. In which Sidharth Malhotra Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh were seen in lead roles.
