Boney Kapoor said on Sridevi’s death: I was interrogated for 48 hours in Dubai, also had to undergo lie detector test.

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor had till now maintained silence on the demise of his wife and actress Sridevi. Now in a recent interview he talked openly about this.

He told that Sridevi often took a very strict diet without salt which would lead to blackouts. He also shared an incident in which actor Nagarjuna, while sharing his experience with the actress, had told that due to unconsciousness, one of Sridevi’s teeth was also broken.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor married in 1996.

In an interview given to The New Indian, Boney said, ‘It was not a natural death but an accidental death. I had decided not to speak about it because I spoke about it for about 24 or 48 hours when I was being investigated and interrogated.

Had to undergo lie detector test also
Boney further said, ‘Actually, the officers told us that they had to do so much questioning because there was a lot of pressure from the Indian media, and in the end they found out that there was no lie in it.

During this time I went through all kinds of tests, which even included lie detector test (Polygraph). And then, of course, the report that came clearly said it was accidental.

Both of them worked together for the first time on the film Mr. India, released in 1987. Boney was the producer of this film.

she always wanted to look good
Boney told in the interview that Sridevi was on diet even at the time of her death. He said- ‘Sridevi was often hungry, she wanted to look good. She wanted to ensure that she was in good condition so that she looked good on screen.
Ever since we got married, he had blackouts on a few occasions and the doctors kept saying that he had low blood pressure.

Nagarjuna also shared the same story
The filmmaker also shared an anecdote related to Nagarjuna on this occasion. He said- ‘After Sridevi’s demise, Nagarjuna came home to express his condolences. He told me that even during the shooting of one of his films, Sridevi was on a crash diet and that is how she fell in the bathroom. Then his teeth broke.

Sridevi died on February 24, 2018, due to drowning in the bathtub in a hotel room in Dubai.
