A water tanker hit a bike riding couple returning from a funeral in Shahjahanpur district. The collision was so strong that the husband and wife jumped under the tanker. Due to which both of them died on the spot due to crushing.
Seeing the dead body on the road, the family members got angry and blocked the road. The police reached the spot and assured action and got the jam opened within half an hour. Police sent both the bodies for postmortem.

Umesh Chauhan, a resident of Kudaiya village in Madnapur area, was returning home from the funeral of warts with his wife Nisha. As soon as both of them reached the cold store on the Madnapur-Jalalabad highway by bike at around nine o’clock in the night. That’s why the tanker used for spraying in the work of widening the highway hit the bike from behind. The collision was so strong that the husband and wife came under the wheels of the tanker. Both died on the spot due to crushing.

After the accident, the driver fled away with the tanker. On information, the family members who reached the spot got agitated after seeing the dead bodies lying on the road. With the help of villagers, the family blocked the highway. After getting the information, Madnapur police station reached the spot and opened the jam by assuring the family of action. After that, the police have sent the dead bodies for postmortem after filling the panchnama. Umesh Chauhan used to take care of two sons by doing farming. One son is seven and the other son is five years old. After the accident, the family is in bad condition by crying.
The station in-charge said that after the accident, the driver fled with the tanker. Search for him is going on The relatives have been assured of action. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.
