One of the greatest batsmen in world cricket, Brian Lara of the West Indies gave an opinion on Dhoni’s options in Team India. According to Lara – Rishabh Pant is the right choice to replace Dhoni. Lokesh Rahul should not worry too much about wicketkeeping. As far as Sanju Samson is concerned, he will have to learn the skill of batting on good wickets. Lara has scored 11 thousand 953 runs in 131 Tests. 400 notout is his best score. Lara has 34 centuries and 48 half-centuries in Test cricket.

Pant at the forefront
Taking part in a TV show, Lara discussed Dhoni and the possible players who could replace him. Said Pant is playing well for Delhi in IPL. Last year, Lokesh Rahul played in his place in the New Zealand series. Pant is now batting responsibly. They have learned how the inning is made. According to me, if someone can replace Dhoni, then Pant is at the forefront.

Rahul should not worry about batting
Lara described Lokesh Rahul as a great batsman. Said- there can be no two opinions that Rahul is a very good batsman. But, I think he should not be too worried about wicketkeeping. He is also wicketkeeping in the IPL. They should focus on batting.

Sanju needs to learn
On a question about Sanju Samson, Lara said – Sanju should learn some more tricks to bat on a good wicket. It is surprising to see that in the IPL, he is not wicketkeeping for his team Rajasthan Royals. Whereas, his main job is wicketkeeping.

How have you performed so far
Pant played 5 matches so far this IPL season. Scored 171 runs at an average of 42.75. Lokesh Rahul of Kings XI Punjab has scored 302 runs in the same number of matches and Sanju Samson of Rajasthan Royals has scored 171 runs.
