IPS Manish Aggarwal, who was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), was produced in the court on Friday. The court has sent him to jail till 17 February. He was on remand for two days in the ACB from 3 February. The state government suspended IPS Manish Aggarwal on the night after the order was issued to be sent to judicial custody on Friday afternoon.
The order issued by the Personnel Department states that Manish Agarwal’s suspension will be considered from February 2. The same day ACB arrested the then SP of Dausa, Manish Aggarwal from the SDRF headquarters at Jhalana. Where Manish Aggarwal was arrested after questioning. In addition to Sections 7 and 7A, the arrests of IPS Manish in cases filed under IPC 384 and 120B exceeded 48 hours. Therefore, the state government issued suspension orders on Friday.
While being Dausa SP, there were allegations of bribe of millions of rupees
While holding the post of Dausa SP, Manish Aggarwal is accused of taking bribe and threats of lakhs of rupees from private companies who build roads on the highway. His headquarters during the suspension will remain PHQ. On 3 February, the ACB sought a two-day remand for questioning Manish. The court then sent Manish on remand for two days. The bribe of millions of rupees is being investigated by Additional SP Pushpendra Singh Rathore under the direction of ADG Dinesh MN. At present, ACB has not revealed what important information has come out from IPS Manish Aggarwal during remand.
The ACB says that they are not cooperating in the inquiry. It is also being told that during the remand period, the ACB questioned broker Neeraj Meena and IPS Manish Aggarwal sitting face to face and interrogated them separately as well. SDM Pushkar Mittal and Pinky Meena, who were involved in this bribery scandal, were arrested by the ACB on 13 January, but they too refused to give voice samples.
