BTSโ€™ Suga came under fire in August this year when it was revealed that he was drunk while riding a scooter.

BTS member Sugaโ€™s drunk driving case has reportedly been closed without a trial. If a report by Korea JoongAng Daily is to be believed, Suga aka Min Yoongi has been let off by prosecutors with a fine. However, the amount has not been disclosed.

โ€œWe gave a summary order according to our standards of operation,โ€ an official from the prosecution cited by the Korea JoongAng Daily said.

BTSโ€™ Suga came under fire in August this year when it was revealed that he was drunk while riding a scooter. Suga was found fallen on the ground by a few patrolling officers and was taken to the police station. It was reported that when the rapper was tested for alcohol content at the police station, the authorities found 0.227% alcohol in him. As a result, Sugaโ€™s licence was revoked.

Later, the globally popular singer was also questioned by the police authorities for three hours when he admitted his mistake and apologised.

Suga also faced criticism from many after the incident. Previously, Koreaboo reported that several trucks were seen in Seoul, protesting against Suga and demanding his removal from the globally popular K-pop group. One of the messages on these protest trucks called Suga a โ€˜criminalโ€™ and read, โ€œTold his fans to be confident, came back to them with a DUI. Drunk driver Suga, D-Day to leave the group is today. 7-1=6. Armys will complete the group. Drunk driver Suga out. Kick Suga out of BTS. We do not need a criminal who deceives fans. Suga, leave the group on your own will before things get uglier.โ€

Considering the same, Suga also issued an apology statement which read, โ€œI am deeply sorry and heavy-hearted to come to you with such disappointing news. Last night, after having drinks at a dinner, I rode an electric scooter to go home. With the complacent thought that it was a short distance and without realizing that using an electric scooter while intoxicated is prohibited, I violated traffic laws.โ€
