CO Varun Mishra said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, police from all the police stations of the district had seized about 10 thousand liters of liquor smuggled in. Action was taken against the accused by filing a case in the matter.
Police will continue to conduct campaigns in future
The liquor was kept in the dumping yard located in village Mansoorpur of Thana Dehat area. An application was filed in the court to destroy the liquor. After the court’s order, the police destroyed liquor worth about 34 lakh rupees by running a bulldozer. During this time, people came out of their houses and started making videos. A huge police force was deployed for security. SP Abhishek Verma said that illegal liquor smuggling will not be allowed in the district under any circumstances. For this, the police will continue to run campaigns.
