Both Virat and Anushka donated 2 crore rupees to this fund raising campaign.

The fund raising campaign started by Team India Captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma has raised Rs 11.39 crore in 7 days. In this campaign named # In This Together (#InThisTogether), a campaign to raise Rs 7 crores in 7 days was done through crowd funding. This campaign started on 7 May.

Virat and Anushka both donated Rs 2 crore to it. At the same time, MPL Sports Foundation donated 5 crore rupees and Shyam Steel donated 10 lakh rupees to this campaign. The deposit amount will be assigned to ACT Grants. This amount will then be used to provide oxygen concentrators, medical equipment and man-power and vaccination facilities to the needy.

“We will fight Corona together and win too”
Virat and Anushka also called fans thank you for giving such a good response to the campaign. Virat said- I do not have the words to express this happiness. We have raised more than the target. Earlier Sachin Tendulkar has donated one crore and IPL’s Delhi Capitals (DC) franchisees Rs 2.50 crore.

Lee and Cummins extend a helping hand
Australian cricketers Pat Cummins and Brett Lee also extended a helping hand. Lee donated about 41 lakh rupees and Cummins donated about 37 lakh rupees.
