A case of fraud of Rs 9 crore was registered on 20 November 2022 at Sushant Golf City police station in Lucknow. Viraj Trivedi had planned a concert at Ekana Stadium. In which film actor Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, singer Guru Randhawa and other celebrities were asked to organize a musical night.

He took Rs 4 crore from many people in the name of investing money in the concert. After this, tickets were also sold on Book My Show. Two days before the show, he switched off his mobile and ran away. Due to this, the audience was cheated of about Rs 9 crore.

STF arrested from Ahmedabad

A case was registered against Viraj Trivedi, Sameer Kumar alias Jitendra Bhai Sharma and Jayanti Bhai Derawalia, residents of Baner Link Road, Pune, at Sushant Golf City. After this, UP STF arrested him from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Was lodged in Lucknow jail since 30 July 2023.

Not receiving the phone became a reason for suspicion

On getting information about the escape of the thug, the Reserve Inspector of Police Line called Inspector Gaurav Chaudhary. Gaurav did not pick up the phone. After this he called everyone one by one but no one picked up.

When all the policemen returned to Lucknow on Sunday, the suspicion deepened. After this, taking cognizance of the matter, a case was registered on Monday. Taking further action, notices will be issued to the guilty policemen.

These policemen were suspended in this case

Inspector Gaurav Chaudhary, head constable Anil Kumar Yadav, constable Harish Kumar, constable Mukesh Kumar Maurya, constable Rohit Kumar and constable Balendra Singh (driver) posted in custody were suspended. Police Commissioner Amarendra Kumar Sengar says that strict action will be taken against negligent policemen by registering a case under relevant sections.
