Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh is releasing on Aug 2.

Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh has been cleared by the Censor Board but not without a few changes.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh is set to release this weekend. Ahead of the release, a report has emerged that states the Censor Board has given a few changes before passing the film with a U/A certificate. The film, which also stars Gulshan Devaiah, reportedly features a few abuses. However, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers to beep them.

Accordong to Bollywood Hungama, the word ‘f**k’ has been beeped out a few times in the film. The report also added that the word ‘m****r f**ker’ has also been muted. The report added that a certain ‘vulgar’ hand gesture has been asked to be blurred out. Following these changes, Ulajh comes down to a length of 134 minutes (2 hours and 14 minutes long).

Ulajh marks Janhvi and Gulshan’s first film together. Gulshan made headlines when he said he and Janhvi did not ‘vibe’ during the making of the film. However, in an exclusive chat with News18, Gulshan explained his viral statement.

“I’m not saying it’s my or Janhvi’s fault. There are other ways of getting the job done. I never felt a lack of connect with her while doing a scene. Aisa kuch nahi tha ki mujhe uska muh nahi dekhna tha (laughs)! But you can’t expect a family-like situation on every set,” he told us.

Gulshan added that having different approaches as actors pushed them to achieve unimagined goals while working on Ulajh. “Getting along and vibing with someone are two different things. When I saw some of the scenes and the song that we shot (Shaukan), I thought we don’t vibe but nobody can tell. This creative tussle is good as long as you’re not belittling or intentionally harming anyone because it pushes you in directions you wouldn’t have gone. The idea is to be civil and we were very civil,” he said.

Directed by National Award-winning director Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh also stars Roshan Mathew, Adil Hussain, Rajendra Gupta, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, and Jitendra Joshi.
