Celebs Reaction: Many Bollywood celebrities including Sonu Sood and Shraddha Kapoor have expressed grief over the Uttarakhand disaster, praying for the well being of the people

A huge accident took place in Uttarakhand around 10:30 am on Sunday. The glacier collapsed in Tapovan in Chamoli district of the state and fell into the Rishiganga River. This created a flood situation and the dam on Dhauliganga was washed away. More than 170 people are feared dead in the accident. Bollywood celebrities have started reacting to this disaster. Praying for the well being of all the people of Uttarakhand. Actor Sonu Sood shared the post and wrote, “Uttarakhand we are with you.”

Shraddha Kapoor wrote, “I am troubled to hear the news of the glacier breaking in Uttarakhand. Praying for the safety of everyone there.”

Diya Mirza wrote, “This is happening because of building more dams in the Himalayas. My prayers for the people of Chamoli. Please contact the Disaster Management Center numbers 1070 or 9557444486 for help.”

Nusrat Bharucha, expressing grief over the disaster, wrote, “I am saddened by the glacier bursting in Uttarakhand, which has left 150 workers missing. Pray for the safety of all.”

Lyricist Prasoon Joshi wrote, “Hopefully after the glaciers burst in Chamoli and other districts of Uttarakhand, people will be safe and no one will die. I pray for the people, officials and rescue teams.”
