Champions Trophy 2025… India-Pakistan match can be played in Lahore: Tournament will be held in February-March next year; Pakistan has the hosting

The match between India and Pakistan to be played in the Champions Trophy 2025 can be held in Lahore. The Champions Trophy is to be played under the hosting of Pakistan from 19 February to 9 March next year.

According to a Cricbuzz report, the draft schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 has been submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC). According to this, the India-Pakistan match will be the last match of the league stage. If the report is to be believed, this match will be held in Lahore.

Doubt over Team India’s visit to Pakistan
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed three venues to the ICC for the Champions Trophy 2025. These three venues are Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. Pakistan has got the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy 2025. However, it is not yet clear whether India will travel to Pakistan for the tournament.

If India does not travel to Pakistan, the tournament could be held in a hybrid model, as was done in last year’s Asia Cup, where India’s matches were played in the UAE.

Asia Cup matches were held in Sri Lanka at the behest of India
Last year too, Pakistan was given the hosting rights of Asia Cup. Even then, as India did not go there, this tournament was held on ‘hybrid model’. India’s matches were held in Sri Lanka. In the final match held in Colombo, the Indian team won the cup by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.

8 teams will participate in the tournament
The last Champions Trophy was played in England and Wales in 2017. Then Pakistan became the champion by defeating India in the final. However, the schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 is not yet out. 8 teams will participate in this tournament and it is expected to last for two weeks.
