Governor Anandi Ben, the chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, gave 63 gold medals and 26 PhD degrees.
Governor Anandiben Patel conferred the title of Vidya Vachaspati (D-Litt) to folk singer Malini Awasthi at the 39th convocation ceremony at Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya in Varanasi today. After this he inaugurated a university calendar including 4 texts Nyayakaustubh, Saraswati, Sushma and Kulgitam.

In the program, 37 meritorious people were awarded 63 gold medals and 26 were awarded PhD degrees. Along with giving degrees to a total of 15520 graduates in the convocation ceremony, students of affiliated colleges were honored with bags, books and fruits.
Governor Anandi Ben, chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, said that Sanskrit has 102 billion 78 crore 56 lakh words. These words are what make Sanskrit great. This language is like nectar. Valuable heritage of Indian history has been written in Sanskrit language. It has been carrying on our tradition for centuries. In view of its importance, Sanskrit has been given a special place in the new education policy. Said that the students who are passing out from here will perform better in their field.

Anandi Ben said that like Malini Awasthi, the university should honor such personalities every year. This encourages the students to listen to his lectures. Anandi Ben said that this city of Kashi is always awake. The land here is very auspicious. Presently Kashi is being displayed in a new and grand form. People from all over the world now want to come to Kashi.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Hareram Tripathi told that now everything is being digitized in Sampurnanand.
