The movie Somu Sound Engineer has been in the making for almost two years now. The first teaser of the movie was released in 2022.
After the release of movies like KGF and Kantara, Kannada cinema has reached new heights in entertaining the audience with its engaging and novel storylines. Now, the upcoming movie Somu Sound Engineer is expected to increase the bar a notch higher with the inclusion of local people and real-life locations in the film. The movie is directed by the debutant director Abhi who gained experience in filmmaking by working under the director Duniya Suri in his projects.
Somu Sound Engineer stars Shreshtha and Nivishka Patil in the lead roles. The entire movie was shot in Ganjihal village of Bagalkot district in Karnataka. The title of the movie was given by Duniya Suri and is slated to be released in theatres on March 15. The makers recently released a video song titled Chandasina Chandadalli. It has gone viral now.
The movie is said to be inspired by true events. To keep the scenes authentic, the director has used real-life locations in the movie. In the latest romantic song, Chandasina Chandadalli, the actors Shreshtha and Nivishka Patil are seen romancing in the narrow lanes of Ganjihal village with the participation of local people in the background.
The chemistry of the lead actors showcases the genuine approach of the makers towards love and romance in the movie which usually gets overshadowed in high-budget movies. The music of the movie is composed by Charanraj MR while the lyrics have been penned by Dhananjay Ranjan. The vocals of the song were given by Sidhartha Belmannu and Meghana Bhat. The movie is produced by Christopher Kini. The music rights of the movie were acquired by A2 Music.
