The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has changed the date of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). According to the official notification issued in this regard, now the examination will be held on June 13. The notification will be released on the CLAT exam portal, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. According to the schedule released earlier, the date of CLAT-2021 was fixed as May 9.

Date change due to CBSE board exam

According to the released notification, the date of CLAT-2021 has been amended keeping in mind the dates of CBSE board exam. Actually, many students of CBSE board exams also appear in CLAT UG exam. CNLU made this decision due to such clats and clashes happening on the board exam date. The CLAT is organized for admission to the five-year Bachelor’s Degree (LLB) program and Masters Degree (LLM) at various national law universities in the country.

Application process will continue till 31 March

The registration process for the CLAT 2021 exam has started from January 1. Candidates wishing to appear in the examination can apply by 31 March 2021. Applications will be accepted online through the examination portal, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Registration fee

Candidates will have to submit a registration fee of Rs 4000 for registration of entrance exam CLAT-2020 for admission in law college. Candidates can pay the registration fee through online mode. However, the application fee for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SST and OBC categories has been fixed at Rs 3500.

Exam pattern

In the exam, 150 objective type questions will be asked in English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques and Logical Reasoning. Also, negative marking of 0.25 marks will be done for every wrong answer for both UG and PG.
