UP CM Yogi Adityanath took feedback from ministers and Legislative Council members on the defeat in Azamgarh division.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with the officials of Azamgarh division and took feedback on the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will have to face a crushing defeat in all the five Lok Sabha seats falling under Azamgarh division.

These seats include Azamgarh, Lalganj, Ghosi, Ballia, Salempur. The defeat on these five seats and the votes received in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections were discussed. The votes received at booths under the influence of ministers and Legislative Council members in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections were also reviewed.

In the Lok Sabha elections, the booths of a large number of state government officials were also not able to ensure victory for these public representatives. In such a situation, all the reports have already been received. Along with this, there was also a discussion about where the shortcomings remained and how to rectify them. Three ministers and three members of the Legislative Council from Azamgarh division could not ensure victory for the BJP on the seats of Azamgarh division.

Discussion on political issues along with development

In this meeting, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath discussed the political issues of the division with the ministers and members of the Legislative Council as well as development issues. The delegation from Azamgarh division included state government ministers Dayashankar Singh, Arvind Sharma, Danish Azad Ansari, Legislative Council members Yashwant Singh, Ramsurat Rajbhar, Ram Vilas Chauhan, Ketki Singh.
