54-year-old actor Matthew Perry, who played the role of Chandler Bing in the popular TV show ‘Friends’, died by drowning in the Jacuzzi (hot tub) of his own home in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm (Sunday morning 4:30 am Indian time). Death had occurred.

Perry became popular as Chandler Bing
The Friends series aired for 10 years from 1994 to 2004. Matthew gained immense popularity as Chandler Bing, one of its six lead characters. In 2002, he received an Emmy nomination for this role. Apart from Friends, Matthew was also seen in ‘Studio 60 on the Sunset Trip’, ‘Go On’ and ‘The Odd Couple’. He received an Emmy nomination twice in 2003 and 2004 for his role as Joe Quincy in ‘The West Wing’.
