Regarding this situation, Advocate Vinay Krishna Pandey, General Secretary of Jankipuram Joint Welfare Committee, has raised many questions from the Municipal Corporation. The General Committee has asked when the Jankipuram extension was completely transferred to the Municipal Corporation. When did the liability of house tax start being applicable on the residents of the extension? Is the house tax for residential and commercial properties the same or different? He has questioned that last year the Water Department had reduced the sewer and water taxes, but why have these taxes been suddenly increased this year.

The General Committee is trying to know what is the basis of this. The General Committee says that if the Municipal Corporation gives clear answers to these questions, then the possibility of 100 percent revenue collection in Jankipuram extension will increase. They also want that the initiative should be taken quickly by the authorities so that the people of the area can pay their house tax and other taxes without any confusion.
